综上所述, 我们认为, 无论是在恐惧管理理论的宏观角度, 还是从死亡凸显效应及其认知过程的微观层面, 情绪都是重要的环节, 对凸显死亡意识后的行为反应产生关键影响。因此, 未来研究应该围绕恐惧管理理论中的情绪问题展开重点探讨, 将情绪纳入认知过程, 构建新的认知?情绪模型。在更加全面、系统和有针对性的实验研究基础上, 检验情绪在恐惧管理过程中的作用。
