摘要
时间问题不仅是自然科学的问题，同时也是一个哲学问题。对于时间问题，无论是古希腊的哲学家还是现代时期的哲学家都对此问题给予了关注，并纷纷提出自己的观点。对时间问题的探索涉及到非常宽泛的领域，因此，历史上的哲学家对时间问题的理解还存在很多疑问和不解的地方。虽然在哲学之外的很多领域都能够寻找到对时间的理解和解答，但无论在哪个学科领域对时间的解答都无法脱离其当时所处于的历史时期，文化的背景以及人们对事物的理解程度。
“时间是什么”这一问题，在西哲史上是由奥古斯丁第一个提出的。他对时间之问的提出固然是出于宗教的理由，在他的着作《忏悔录》中，奥古斯丁深入的思考了时间问题，并且他将时间问题视为人类智慧的哲学来探究。奥古斯丁认为，时间不会是永恒的存在，时间也不会是独立的存在者，时间更不是某种物体的运动；他认为，只有上帝才能够创造时间，时间是人类心灵的一种伸展。
在奥古斯丁的思想体系中，时间问题占据了重要的地位，正是因为奥古斯丁通过对时间问题的质疑，才改变了古希腊的时间观。同时，奥古斯丁对时间的诠释也影响了后世哲学家，如海德格尔、康德、罗素等哲学家的思想都受到了启发。奥古斯丁对时间观的变革可以说是在西哲史上最具深远影响的开创意义，从哲学角度理解，时间观的变革已经让时间这一问题成为了真正的哲学问题，同时，也是哲学进入其它领域的一个根本切入点。

Abstract
Time is not only a problem of science,but also a philosophical problem. For a time,whether it isthe philosopher of ancient Greece or the modern philosophers pay more attention, and have putforward their own point of view. To explore the time problem relates to the very broad field, therefore,the history of the philosopher understanding of time there are still a lot of questions and puzzles.
Although they find the understanding of time and answer can be in many areas outside of philosophy,but no matter in which field of time can't be separated from the solution was in the period of history,cultural background and understanding of things.
“Time is the question of what, in the history of Western Philosophy” is first proposed by Augustin.
He proposed to the question of time is for religious reasons, in his book “Confessions”, Augustinthought deeply about the question of time, and his time as human wisdom and philosophy to explore.
Augustin think, time will not be eternal existence, the time is not being independent, time is morethan a motion of the object; he thinks, only God can create time, time is an extension of the humanmind.
In Augustin's ideological system,the problem of time occupy an important position,it is becauseAugustin questions the time problem, only to change the ancient Greek concept of time. At the sametime, Augustin interpretation of the time also affected the later philosophers, such as Degel, Kant,Russell and other philosophers have been inspired by the. Augustin of the view of time change can besaid to be the most far-reaching influence in the history of western philosophy to create a sense ofunderstanding, from a philosophical point of view, the concept of time changes have time thisproblem has become a real problem of philosophy, at the same time, a fundamental starting point isalso the philosophy into other fields.
